CONGRATULATIONS DON
Hawkscoop would like to be the first to congratulate Don Czyz, who just minutes ago was the 215th pick in the 2006 MLB Amateur Draft, going to the Florida Marlins. Don had an All-American year while establishing himself as a team leader, eventually helping the Jayhawks reach their first NCAA berth since 1994. Now he will get a shot to reach the most hallowed stage in his sport, the Major Leagues. Congratulations, Don, and best of luck.

Talked with Don today...he is resting up with proud family and will play some summer ball with the Jamestown Jammers of NY Penn league. A Marlins farm club. Don is looking forward to opportunities ahead and is a reader of HS.
